FAQ: read these answers to frequently asked questions first…

I’d like to share some information about my project, job post, competition or research question with your members, or I’d like to ask for their advice about cultural heritage project.

Play testing at MCGPlayThe best way to reach over 1600 MCG members is to post on our discussion list.

You’ll need to subscribe first, then post to the list by emailing MCG@jiscmail.ac.uk.

We can pass on messages for you, but we find that people get the best responses when they ask directly. You might find our Museums Computer Group JISCMail List Guidelines helpful.

I’d like to speak at one of your conferences.

We always like to know about great speakers, so you can drop us a line, but please also check our Events page for any current Calls for Papers. Calls for Papers go out on our events newsletter http://eepurl.com/r3Y6H and discussion list.

I want to attend one of your events.

Sign up for our events newsletter at http://eepurl.com/r3Y6H or keep an eye on our discussion list for announcements about events and ticket sales.

The Collections Trust’s advice on choosing a Collections Management Systems is a good place to start as is their collection of advice from other sector professionals, Choosing a CMS – Advice and if you are looking for a Digital Asset Management system they also have a Choose a DAM tool.
