We had a great turn out for ‘museum geeks on a boat (AKA our pre-conference evening event‘ – thanks to Michael Guthrie for finding such a fun venue, Andrew Lewis for shepherding people through fast and furious format, and our speakers for being good sports.

MCG’s Museums on the Web is organised by a committee of volunteers. Event and AGM preparation and planning: Rhiannon Looseley, Adrian Stevenson, Alison Bean, Mia Ridge, with support from Danny Birchall, Dafydd James, Michael Guthrie. Thanks to today’s photographer, Tony Harris, to our Session Chairs: Andrew Lewis, Irida Ntalla, Anra Kennedy, Juno Rae, and the UKMW13 Programme Committee: Tom Grinsted; Irida Ntalla; Dafydd James; Carolyn Royston; Ross Parry; Melissa Terras and our fabulous game designer Alex Moseley. Thanks also to our hosts at Tate who did so much to help the event come together. Finally, thanks to all the brilliant keynotes and speakers!

AGM summary

The proposed Constitutional changes were approved and we elected two new Committee members: Johanna Pérez Strand and Julie Reynolds.

We’d like to thank the Committee members leaving us this year for all their contributions: Gemma Sturtridge, Emma McLean, Denise Drake, Adrian Stevenson, Tony Harris, Carolyn Royston.

More details to follow, but it looks like our Spring event will be in Bristol in late May.

    My time working with you all on the MCG committee was great. I loved working on previous UKMWs but must confess that I’ve hugely enjoyed being a regular delegate at UKMW13. You’ve all done a fab job! Thanks for a great day :)
